What is the student admission process?

How To Apply

We are delighted that you are considering Brookshine School for your child(ren). Please follow the simple steps outlined below to kickstart the admissions process.

Step One
Contact our Admissions staff via info@brookshine.ac.ke

Step Two
Upon answering all your questions and arranging a school campus viewing, should you decide to apply for enrollment, we will provide you with the necessary application forms.

Step Three
Once we receive a completed application from you and the application fee is paid in full, we will review and consider your child for a place at our school. The decision will be communicated to you after completion of the application for enrollment.

Does Brookshine School practice selective entry?

We are a non-selective school that believes in opportunity for all and does not offer or deny enrollment based on previous academic achievement. In addition, if we believe a child has Special Education Needs (SEN) we may ask parents to work with us to develop an Individual Education Plan (IEP) to support these unique needs. In both of these scenarios, any additional support above and beyond what is routinely supplied may be at an additional cost to the parents.

The school reserves the right to deny access if our faculty deems a child’s needs to be beyond the school’s teaching capacity.

Does Brookshine School accept applications throughout the year?

Yes, you can apply for entry at any point in the school year and may join our school at any time. For applicants wishing to enter Year 6 part way through the year, the school will assess prior learning before deciding whether we can meet your child’s learning needs.

How is year level placement determined?

In most circumstances, a child will enter his or her age-appropriate year level. In special circumstances, we will consider entering a child into a year level above or below this. If you wish your child to be considered for a level other than the one he or she would ordinarily enter, please alert the school upon application.
